For a lifetime of smiles!

Invisalign®

Invisalign is the alignment correction system that changed the world of orthodontics. Rather than relying on bulky metal pieces, it uses clear plastic aligners that are smooth, comfortable, and invisible. It has been used for nearly two decades and has been proven safe and effective in clinical trials and real-world practice.

A series of clear aligners are worn 22 hours/day and are only removed when it is time to eat, drink, brush and floss or attend “special events.” Teens and adults love this option for straightening their teeth because of how discreet these aligners are.

Early Treatment

According to the American Association of Orthodontists, children should see an orthodontist around their seventh birthday. Orthodontic issues become obvious to the trained eye at this age. An orthodontist will evaluate both the growth pattern of jaws and entire face, as well as the alignment and spacing of the teeth. Many children— even those who eventually need braces— will not require treatment as a child. However, there are cases that, if left untreated, will require surgery and tooth extractions in their late teens or early 20s. Early treatment can allow them to avoid this.

Do you want to schedule an appointment for your child? Call us! Often patients are referred by their general dentist, but we do welcome patients with or without a referral.

Teen Treatment

Teens are the most common orthodontic patients to this day. It is a great age for treatment because the teeth, gums, and bones are still super healthy and growing, making treatment easier. Additionally, many of their peers also wear braces, so being in treatment doesn’t need to feel awkward. They can correct their smile while still in school and then enter adulthood with confidence and excellent oral health.

Adult Treatment

Just because you are in your adult years does not mean you cannot correct your smile. We have the right treatment options for all adults to get the smile they deserve. Our office sees more and more patients over 21 every year. Right now, about one out of every five patients we treat is an adult. Of course, there are concerns unique to adult treatment. Professionals need options that are not visible, and older adults may have gum disease and tooth decay to contend with.

Metal Braces

Metal braces are what you picture when you think of braces. They are highly visible but also highly effective and very affordable. These are better than the braces of the past, so do not be afraid to consider them based on what you heard about them decades ago.

With orthodontic advancements, metal braces are now smaller and more comfortable than ever. Children and teens love metal braces because of the colored elastics, which let them express their personalities and create unique and colorful smiles.

Clear Braces

Clear braces work similarly to metal braces but use transparent brackets that make them less noticeable. Here at ZB Orthodontics, we use self-ligating braces that use clear brackets and don't require using colorful elastics. While still visible, they are less visible than metal options. These can be good for professionals and teens who are worried about how their braces will make them look.

Retention

Your orthodontic treatment doesn't end when we remove your braces or after your last Invisalign trays. Your retainers will help teeth stay in place while your bone and gums heal and get used to their new positions. You will have to wear retainers for a specific time determined by Dr. Zang-Bodis.
