Invisalign Clear Aligners in East Lansing & Haslett
Straighten your smile without brackets or wires.
Invisalign® uses a series of clear, removable aligners to move your teeth into place. At Zang-Bodis Orthodontics, Dr. John Zang-Bodis plans and oversees every Invisalign case himself. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a certified Invisalign provider at our office on Haslett Road in East Lansing.
Why Choose an Orthodontist for Invisalign?
Many dental offices offer clear aligners. An orthodontist completes two to three more years of specialty training in how teeth and jaws move. Your aligner plan comes from the same doctor who treats complex bites every day.
How Invisalign Works
- Consultation. Dr. Zang-Bodis examines your teeth and bite and tells you whether Invisalign is a good fit. If it isn’t, he explains your other options, such as clear braces.
- Your custom plan. We map each stage of tooth movement and have your aligners made for your teeth.
- Wearing your aligners. You wear each set about 22 hours a day and take them out only to eat, drink anything other than water, brush, and floss.
- Check-ins. You visit our office periodically so Dr. Zang-Bodis can confirm your teeth are moving as planned.
- Retainers. When treatment ends, retainers hold your new smile in place.
Benefits of Invisalign
- Nearly invisible. Most people won’t notice you’re wearing aligners.
- No food restrictions. You remove your aligners to eat.
- Easy to clean. Brush and floss as usual, with no brackets to work around.
- Comfortable. Smooth plastic aligners have no wires.
Invisalign for Teens and Adults
About one in five of our patients is an adult, and many adults prefer aligners for work and social life. Learn more about adult orthodontics.
Invisalign or Braces?
Invisalign works well for many cases of crowding, spacing, and mild to moderate bite problems. Some complex cases move more predictably with braces. We also offer metal braces and self-ligating clear braces, so Dr. Zang-Bodis can recommend what fits your case. Compare all of our treatment options.
